Artist's Statement: Despite the fact that I like to think that my work itself is my statement, here are a few key elements. TEXTURE, FORM, REFERENCE TO FUNCTION if not truly functional vessels. Besides teapots and spouted forms, vases have also been part of my opus because I love flowers and dry branches. With rare exceptions in the wire-cut series when a cut results in too thin a wall, my vases happily hold water and a bit of my spirit.
