Notes: Vasefinder is very proud to offer this extremely rare Drerup decorated vessel. German born and trained artist Karl Drerup (1904-2000) worked in several mediums, where he was highly skilled at decorating a myriad of surfaces. In the early part of his career, he teamed up with another "Giant Killer" Francis Vontury to first enter the Syracuse Nationals in 1938. Karl would spend his life as both teacher and artist, where his great skills were recognized by the state of New Hampshire, as a Living Treasure Award Recipient. The rare vessel offered here is a tour de force specimen with three, spirited horses and decorative bands that put this pot at the top of the clay food chain. This pot is sure to complement your Art Deco, Bauhaus, Wiener Werkstatte and Moderne decors---just a stunner of a specimen. Don't miss this rare opportunity!
