Spencer Bottle Vase Marked:
Incised Spencer, as shown. Condition:
No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This item shows minimal use. Dimensions:
6"h x 4"w Notes:
Without a doubt, the Ralph and Lorene Spencer were stalwarts in the Northwest
tradition of working in clay. Lorene first exhibited in 1952 at the Syracuse Nationals
and just a year later formed the famous Spencer Pottery, Inc. where they supplied
clay for many of the important Seattle area artists. Offered here is a really
fine bottle vase with ochre like glaze, which has a rich surface design. This
pot would nicely complement your Modern or Minimalist decor.
