Marked: Impressed circular mark of the pottery noting AR Cole Pottery, Sanford, North Carolina.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Light factory crazing and some minimal factory polishing at the base. This specimen shows no real use and has a subtle ring.

Prior to operating the pottery in his name, AR ran the important Rainbow Pottery. This pot represents his work from the kiln in his name, which was founded in 1941. This vase is an important legacy of the important work created by Seagrove potters. The glaze on this vase is one of complexity and beauty.
