Charles M. Brown is well listed in the Vasefinder Museum, as well his work is
included in the seminal craft reference OBJECTS:USA. This important Mandarin,
Florida, artist is best known for his handbuilt forms, which were in many cases
raku fired, as is the weed pot sphere offered here. Charles Brown exhibited at
the Syracuse Nationals in 1956, 1960, 1962, 1964 and 1966. The raku pot offered
here is a gorgeous well formed sphere with a transcending rich orange colored
glaze. This pot is sure to complement your Modernist raku pottery collections
of Wayne Higby and Paul Soldner.
