artist Lillian Boschen. Per Peter Held, Lillian Boschen studied at the CCAC, San
Francisco Art Institue and Mills College, where she was a student of Carlton Ball.
She was the first Resident Director of the Archie Bray, where she served in the
years of 1951 and 1952. She first exhibited at the Syracuse Nationals in 1948,
when she resided in New Jersey. This rare vase was created at her pottery in Virginia
City, Montana, after working at the Bray. This is a very rare opportunity to obtain
a super condition pot from an important artist of the American Studio Movement.
