Friley Marked:
Incised Friley. Condition:
There are no chips, nicks, cracks, or repairs. This pot shows limited use. Some
volcanic glaze activity noted to the outside of the form. It has a nice ringing
resonance to attest to its fine quality. WE GUARANTEE CONDITION. Dimensions:
8.75"h X 6.334"w(including handle) Notes:
This superb stoneware form was created by the important listed Vasefinder Museum
artist Eugene Friley of Ohio. Eugene was associated with the Ohio State University,
where he taught for many years(one of his students was Maurice Grossman!). He
first exhibited at the Syracuse Nationals in 1947. This pot would make a great
addition to the serious studio collection or Modernist decor.
