Hildegard Herz (1894-1979)

Marked: Signed H. Herz within subject, as well as back notes: Hildegard Herz, 455 South Virginia, Reno, Nev with title of Lake Tahoe and original price of $5.00.

Condition: The subject is in very nice condition with no visible damage. The matt has some some light marks and etc. and should be replaced. Wear, chips and nicks to the frame. I have not removed the painting from the frame.

Dimensions: The sight measurements are 4.334 inches by 6 inches, where as the frame's exterior measurements are approximately 8.5 inches by 10.625 inches.

Notes: Hildegard Herz was an early member of the famous Reno Latimer Club. Her works primarily include watercolors as the subject offered here. A retrospective of her work was held at the Great Basin Gallery of Carson City Nevada a couple decades after her passing. Her work is included in Painters of Nevada, 1845-1980 by Robert McFadden.
