Artist's Statement: Some days I sit down with a certain objective in mind. This day it was to make several bottles. However, while working the clay I noticed how the one side felt so comfortable in my hand that I decided to keep that shape and finish the piece as a vase. The detail work is based on weathered rock formations and floral shapes found in my garden.
