Artist's Statement: This stylized dragonfly and lotus design was inspired not only by my ongoing admiration and study of Asian art, but by a summer of teaming life right around the pond by my studio.

The design was incised into the clay at the leatherhard stage, carefully glazed using 10 different glazes, then raku fired.
