Artist's Statement: I have been making pots most of the time since getting a B.F.A. degree at Alfred College of Ceramics, Alfred, NY in 1973. It has been a career of satisfaction in bringing forms to life and knowing that they are enjoyed by many people.

My work has gone through quite a few changes over the years. I started with stoneware and switched to porcelain in 1981. I may get back to stoneware when the mood strikes. Even though I try many different techniques and ideas, simplicity and elegance have always been things I strive for. I like simple forms, clean lines and for the most part, glazes in subtle colors without painted designs.

I like traditional Native American pots, Asian pots, Scandinavian pots, and pots with good form and glaze. They are a source of inspiration. I have never tried to be an "academic" potter, I just keep making pots and they always seem to find a home.

Presently I make pottery full time and sell to galleries around the US. You may find my pottery line at galleries such as Appalachian Spring in Washington DC; New Morning Gallery in Asheville, NC; Iowa Artisans Gallery in Iowa City, IA; Signature Gallery in Huntsville, AL; and Wa in Provincetown, MA. Many one of a kind pieces I do are usually sold from my studio, at retail shows, or at gallery shows.
