Artist's Statement: Jo Robinson was an art student in Muncie, Indiana in the 1950's studying under Alice Nichols and Warren Casey. She taught art and elementary school until retirement in 1999.

Although Jo creates both functional and non-functional works, she is best known for her free flowing fluted bowls and her life size busts and torsos.

Jo has a studio/gallery in her home. She gives private lessons on the potter's wheel or in hand building and has occasional raku and pit fire works. She and her husband Tom are currently creating a studio/workshop in the "Old Cooley Garage" in Austin, Nevada, where workshops will be offered.

Jo's work has been exhibited in galleries and Art Centers in Fallon, Reno and Yerington. She teaches the ceramic classes at Western Nevada Community College.
