Title: Ceramics Monthly - January 1964

Condition: A nice lightly read issue in good collector condition

Notes: This 39 page issue features an extensive interview with famous St. Ives potter Bernard Leach along with many photo's of his workshop, kiln and many of his pottery forms. The back page of this issue contains a full page photo of a tall vase made by him. There is a article on making pottery bird feeders written by Anne Appleton Clarke, Enameled room dividers by Kathe Berl, Brush Prints and Strokes written by Marc Bellaire. Another article titled A new method for making tiles was written by Darvin Luginbuhl, another is called Paddle Pots by Frank A. Colson, Pinch Pots by Marjore Bell.

There is a nice article on Kansas Designer Craftsman featuring pottery, sculpture, jewelry, weaving, textiles and furniture done by various Kansas based artists. We see pottery works shown that include pieces by Angelo Garzio, Jerry Campbell and Dorothy Tillotson. There is a large ceramic activities section in the back featuing updates on exhibits, upcoming shows and awards won by potters. We note a Marvin Lipofsky bottle, notes about the Association of San Francisco Potters, Kenneth Green, nice large F. Carlton Ball advertisement with his large floor pots, show calendar for 1964 also detailed.
