Artist's Statement: I have been potting for about 8 years and have a love of working on the wheel. Since the earthquake in Christchurch N.Z., pottery had taken a back step for me, this was due to losing our club workrooms. Canterbury potters kindly opened its doors to the clubs who were in this situation. Now 3 years down the track I am about to set up a studio at home, on our demolished garage site. So I am feeling re-inspired to continue improving my work on the wheel as well as exploring glazing and trying to get more depth in electric firing by using layers of glaze.
