Artist's Statement: I am a ceramic artist working predominantly on the potter's wheel. Pieces are often thrown and carved or manipulated and altered, often incorporating hand building alongside wheel thrown techniques. My practice experiments with form, negative and positive space and the movement suggested within those spaces. Pieces are finished with a simple clear crackle glaze and smoke fired with salts and oxides for a monochrome contrast.
