Artist's Statement: I am interested in using texture, color and pattern to unite aspects of every day functional and formal environment with more informal, rhythmic, and ornamental aesthetic. In doing so, the pottery explores the importance of aesthetics in our daily lives. Consequently, by partnering objective elements with subjective expressing our formal environment becomes more communicative.
