Artist's Statement: My work has been influenced by the world I have encountered while living in Montana and Texas as well as traveling abroad. I received two Fulbright Scholars' Awards in Spain and Uzbekistan and have had artists' residencies in Latvia, Iceland, France, Italy, Uzbekistan, Maui, Banff, The Archie Bray Foundation, The Clay Studio in Philadelphia and the Mary Anderson Center for Creative Arts in Indiana. These have enriched my life by allowing me to know so many artists and others from a wide variety of cultures. I have enjoyed being able to live in a variety of places and to experience the pace of life in a variety of communities.
