Artist's Statement: I make wheel thrown and altered dining, serving and decorative ware using porcelain and white stoneware. I get a feeling of joy and satisfaction in using handmade objects in my everyday life. I seek to enhance the experience of using handmade items, art that is used and enjoyed daily, enhancing and giving elegance to our everyday lives. Generating a moment of pause, to take in a piece being used; to drink coffee, eat meals, and/or to observe. By taking in this appreciation and extending it throughout one's day, a whole new way of appreciating art that surrounds us daily may start to be noticed and cultivated.
