Artist's Statement: I have long been interested in the raw elements of the earth - rocks, gems, crystals, and metals and more recently elements not of the earth - the planets, the moons and their permanent winters.

An important facet in my work is beauty and vulnerability - the contrast between inhospitable cold, its outward glistening beauty and the vulnerability of the things in its hold.
