Artist's Statement: I trained as a potter in the Puisage area of central France, a region which has a rich heritage of traditional pottery. The focus on traditional pottery remains strong in my work, I make functional pieces and my interests are in developing throwing skills, new glazes and firing techniques.
I love the elemental aspects of pottery. It all comes down to messing about with earth and later, fire and air! And pulling a lovely pot from the kiln.
