Artist's Statement: I have always been fascinated by the geology in the areas that I have lived. That fascination has led me to use almost exclusive local materials in both the clay bodies and glazes that I use. To be able to gather rocks and ashes and then process them into beautiful glazes and clay bodies is a never ending source of wonder for me.
